ASG has a long history of providing custom engineered, code-compliant lifting solutions for the demanding industrial elevator marketplace. Our offerings include both permanent and temporary industrial lifts and freight elevators, all of which are constructed with high-quality components, engineered for harsh industrial environments. All ASG industrial lifts and elevators, offered in a wide array of sizes and lift capabilities, come equipped with a variable-frequency drive, corrosion-resistant components, and are available with explosion-proof features for a safe ride every time they are used.

Industrial Elevator Servicing and Maintenance

For industrial applications, rack and pinion elevators have many advantages: They are designed specifically for outdoor use, they don’t require a machine room or hoistway, and they don’t cost nearly as much to install and maintain as traction or hydraulic elevators. However, in some cases a traction or hydraulic elevator is suitable. We will provide you with the correct solution for your needs. At ASG, our crews have many years of experience installing and maintaining traction, hydraulic or rack and pinion elevators. ASG elevators are compliant with ASME A17.1 or A10.4 specifications. Capacities range from 650 lbs (295 kg) to 10,000 lbs (4,500 kg). For hazardous locations, we offer NEC and ATEX compliance.

Whether it is a 700ft tall stack with a rack and pinion or an administration building with a hydraulic elevator, we want your elevator operating safely.

Rack and Pinion Elevators

ASG is proud to carry Alimak, the world’s leading manufacturer of rack and pinion elevators. Established in 1960, Alimak has over 21,000 construction hoists, industrial elevators, and transport platforms in use.

Alimak elevators are designed with a commitment to safety. Our Alimak industrial elevators use the rack and pinion design, which consists of a car-mounted electric motor. The motor drives the pinion, which drives the car up and down. To stop the elevator car, multiple electric disc brakes are used. As a fail-safe, the brakes engage automatically when power is lost. The car can then be lowered safely.

ALIMAK SE 300–2,000 kg 0.4–1.0 m/s 0.78–1.56 m 1.04–2.60 m 2.17 m

Explosion-Proof Elevators

We offer Alimak explosion proof elevators that conform to ASME A17.1 or A10.4 standards, for use in applications where there is an explosive gas or dust risk. We follow NEC standards for hazardous-area compliance, protecting equipment in hazardous locations.
Standard options are available for NEC Class 1, Division 1, Group C&D, and also NEC Class 1, Division 2 requirements.

Personnel Elevators and Manlifts

Personnel elevators, sometimes called manlifts, or passenger hoists are used to move workers and material to those “tough-to-reach” locations. Typically, Alimak rack and pinion elevators stand up better to harsh conditions because they do not use wire rope sheaves and hydraulics. Our personnel elevators use the rack and pinion design, which consists of a car-mounted electric motor. The motor drives the pinion, which drives the car up and down. To stop the elevator car, multiple electric disc brakes are used. As a fail-safe, the brakes engage automatically when power is lost. The car can then be lowered safely.

However, we have had incidence were a traction elevator was better suited for the application. Let American Service Group work with you to provide options that suits your needs. With ASG personnel elevators, installation times are faster, service costs lower, and maintenance simpler.

Temporary Transport Platforms

To lift personnel and tools on the construction site for temporary installations, ASG transport platforms can do the job for you. We offer a range of temporary transport platforms, for sale or rent, with lift capacities from 1,100 lbs to 4,400 lbs. ASG transport platforms can move at 40 ft/min and doesn’t require a dedicated operator. You can add a roof if the conditions call for it. With a modular design, ASG transport platforms meet ASME A92.10 standards. We can provide a solution for just about any transport platform application.

Temporary Material Hoists

Material hoists, also known as buck hoists or construction hoists, are designed to carry material, not personnel, for construction or renovation. As an exclusive Alimak dealer, ASG Elevators can provide the perfect solution for your material lifting requirements.

Material Hoist Applications

Material hoists are designed to carry material, not personnel, for construction or renovation. The advantage of a material hoist is the lower cost of rent or purchase price. Material hoist, like elevators, come in a variety of sizes to work for your application and requirements.
